Motels, Restaurants, Stores, & Gas in Maniwaki
(We are not affiliated with any of these businesses)

MOTEL AUBERGE DU DRAVEUR
1 (819) 449-7022 - Toll Free: 1 (877) 449-7022
Approximately 2.5 blocks past McDonald's on the right in Maniwaki.
Maniwaki will be your last big town to get any supplies that you need.

MOTEL LE CLASSIC
1 (819) 438-5557
This motel is 29 miles north of Maniwaki on Route 117. It will be on your left going up.
This is your last gas station before the turn off to Lac Suzie.

Call these motels early for reservations and to check for exchange rates. Ask if they have a group rate.

Important Information to know about Lac Suzie while you are there:

• The lake your cabin is on, is your lake exclusively. No one else is allowed on your lake from any other cabin without your permission.

• There are many other lakes you can fish that do not have camps on them. These lakes also have boats (see the camp manager if you are interested in fishing these other lakes). You must take your own tank of gas and motor to these lakes.

• Clean your cabin and boats. Do not leave trash in, or around the cabins, or around tree stands and boats at other lakes. Take all trash into the main camp at Lac Suzie.

• Do not clean fish in, or around cabins. Do not throw the fish cleanings near the cabins because of the bears.

• The roads back into Lac Suzie are also shared by log trucks and other vehicles, so be careful and watch out for them.

• If there is anything that you need for your boats, cabins, or anything else while you are at Lac Suzie, do not hesitate to contact the camp manager.

• The person who signs the contract must collect all money from his group and pay in American funds. Final balance is due no later than 30 days before check in.

During Moose Season: You must hunt in the zone your cabin is located in and that zone only. We will provide you with detailed maps.

You are allowed (2) two moose per zone. You need (4) four licenses for (1) one moose OR (6) six licenses for (2) two moose. Only (1) one cow may be taken per zone. If you have questions about zone boundaries, please ask.

You cannot leave your zone until 11:30 am and must be back in your zone by 2:00 pm. This is only to come to the main camp. If you have an emergency, you can come to the main camp at any time. Any Moose shot out of your zone will be taken from you and end your hunt. Hunting is not allowed off Lac Suzie property.

There is a fee to get your Moose out of the woods if we help you. The price depends on how long it takes. We have a cooler to put your Moose in while you stay at lac Suzie. These rules will help us to manage our Moose population.

During Bear Season:

Please do not ride your 4-wheelers after 5:00 pm in the bear hunting areas and do not disturb any of the bear baits in respect for the other bear hunters. You have all day to ride your 4-wheelers.

We have a freezer to put the Bear hide and meat in.

There is a fee of $100.00 in American funds to pick your bear up and skin and freeze it.

We bait every day so please do not put anything in your bait bucket.

If you get a bear, stay in your stand until dark because if you come back, you may go by another hunter.
